When you inspect a DOM element the develop tool will show you the relevant code in the text window. You can inspect specific elements on the page. Using the inspector is helpful for finding problem in DOM. Most time the error console will give you a line number as to where the problem started in your script. When you're debugging, looking at the JavaScript conole is useful for finding syntax problems. In Chrome, the developer tools can be found under Wrench -> Tools Within Firefox, the Developer tools can be found under the Web Developer menu. ![]() Accessing the JavaScript console will be necessary for finding bugs in your code. In order to debug your D3 code, it will be necessary that you're a little familiar with the debugging tools available in your web browser. ![]()
